Moroccan Lamb Mince - Salt Free
The recipe has just three essentials:(1) Grass Fed, Lamb Mince.(2) Moroccan Spice Blend (3) You, the Home Chef.
500g Lamb Mince - essential grass fed
1 x Large onion
1 x Cup rich chicken stock - to make your own, check in featured recipes.
2 x Tablespoons tomato paste
5 x Teaspoons *Spice Road Spices Moroccan SpiceOn Spice Blend
2 x Carrot - diced
1 x Cup celery - diced
1 x Tin Italian diced tomatoes
In a heavy based pan add olive oil and when hot, fry down the onions until almost soft.
Then add the carrots and parsley and leaving a cleared space in the centre of the pan add the tomato paste to caramelise. Leave for no more than 3 minutes, stirring the tomato paste a little then stir to mix the other ingredients until they soften and begin to caramelise.
Now, add the Moroccan Spice Blend then the stock and stir well until you have a nice rich paste then carefully add the mince and stir to brown the lamb before adding the tomatoes.
Place a lid on the pan and gently allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
Serve with aborio rice and chopped parsley
Important: For this recipe it is best to use Grass Fed lamb mince. Check with your butcher.
